RCPE Medical Trainees Conference - On Call Conundrums
Friday 3 February 2023
Edinburgh & Online

Our 2023 annual Medical Trainee Conference, organised by the Trainees & Members' Committee of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, aims to provide an interactive diverse programme, covering important topics relevant to the on-call medic.

This will be a hybrid event and we encourage in person attendance at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, which will offer opportunities to network and meet colleagues and speakers.

Our programme aims to cover challenging topics as well as highlighting new guideline developments and changes in clinical practice. We will start the day with covering challenges around interpretation of cardiac troponins, learning about findings not to miss on X-rays and when to call the on call Radiologist and an update on anaphylaxis guidelines.

In the afternoon, we discuss on call conundrums acute symptom management in palliative care, how to detect decompensated liver disease and how to identify the toxidrome.

This varied and engaging programme also includes our 49th Sir John Halliday Croom Lecture and our popular Clinical Lessons. The programme also includes a special Keynote Lecture.

All grades of medical, nursing, scientific staff, allied health professionals and medical students are most welcome.

The event is free to attend for Collegiate, Associate, Foundation Members and Medical Students of the RCPE.
